How much I need you

As I open my eyes to the rays tumbling from my window
which makes tiny bright squares on my bed,
I long to hear your voice.

As I contemplate the painful day ahead,
I long to hear your voice.

Syncing my soul with monotony of life,
Perspiring to believe in colors,
as my monochromatic chores glare at me.
When my muscle cry out for a respite,
I long to hear your voice.

When I find a reason to smile,
An occassion to cherish the lightness of being,
In some divine hour, blessed with a moment to rejoice,
I long to hear your voice.

In sickness when I seek some soothing,
when pangs of lonliness scream from my hollow within,
In my selfish desire to share,
I long to hear your voice.

I frustration of pressing times,
in lethargy of eternal boredom,
in my urge to evoke my muse,
and paint life on my own canvas,
I long to hear your voice.

As I lay in dark silence of the night,
and see my sorrowful existence shine,
with the moonbeams,
I long to hear your voice.

It aches my heart,
how much I need you here, with me.
And once more,
I long to hear your voice.

Once more, if it is for the last time...
...and once more, as, it is for the last time.
