The Nightmare!

Penning down this makes me relive those horror filled nights i used to have...

14 feb,2005

class VII A

Khaitan Public School,Noida

Day starts as usual.Hustle and bustle of the kids end as silence errupts out of nowhere. In place of the class teacher, somehow madam Nirmalesh enters looking as if she's had her husband screaming at her in the morning.she's looking extremely angry and breaks the silence.
"Its very unfortunate that students of our school have become like those in the govt. schools!!!!!i pity you! ......yesterday i completely broke after madam sheeba handed me a chit in which a completely abusive and unbearable poem has been written about me....the kinds of words used just shows from how bad families you come...a complete check would be conducted and handwritings would be verfied...the child is bound to be suspended or worse rusticated"....She walks out.....
Complete chaos as the blame game begins...Search parties are formed and many 'sherlock Holmes' emerge...Somehow this becomes the talk in the school..

15th feb 2005

Again Madam Principle enter..she's this old wicked lady whos always after something to make a fuss about. She takes up the same issue.."Good Morning Children..ive heard about the ongoing events in the class..a chit has been recovered..by madam Sheeba which has a very abusive and insulting poem written by a student about madam nirmalesh which is apparently why she's upset. We've decided to take a strict action against that student whosoever has done this..and that student may be terminated from the school,so that in future nothing offensive as such happens...so please coordinate with us..in the next class submit all your copies for the verification"

16th feb 2005

madam nirmalesh turns up.."ive checked all your copies and matched many handwritings...and you would be happy to know that ive finally arrived at a few conclusions and shortlisted some students..Tanya Verma and Mandeep Singh...please meet me in the office after this period"..thank you!

17th feb 2005

again in the science class.."I can't express how deeply im affected by this dirty and unforgiving crime of that student.its so offensive,i can't describe.in my long 20 years career, first time...for the very first time..I am brought to tears....its been done under full consciousness...it can't be forgiven..he not only wrote Bitch but Bloody bitch....I am giving todays time...I want that person to come in front me and accept his mistake..although its unforgiving but if he does so..he might face less consequenses...otherwise a full LIE DETECTOR test has been organised by the school authorities and the culprit caught would be rusticated and no other school in the locality will take that student.his career is finished"

17th feb 5:00 pm

My phone rings..its Mandeep's mother..

Aunty:beta u went to school today?

Me:Ji aunty!

Aunty:beta u must be knowing Mandeep has got very high fever,he's running high temperature..i don't know how this controversey in the school has started.u know Mandeep very well beta...woh shaitaan hai, naughty hai par dil ka bahut acha hai...he can never do this..the school authorities are calling me everyday..they are suspecting Mandeep but i know he can never do this kind of thing..u know exams are approaching, how will he concentrate?

Me:ji aunty!

Aunty:betaji, your course is finished in school?

Me:ji aunty!

Aunty:Beta, you know who has done this henious thing?

Me: me?!![in shock] ofcourse not aunty..how would i know.??but i feel sorry for Mandeep...

Aunty:Ok!thank you beta ji!

Time passes on..and after a few days exams start off.....controversey dies and the person is never caught..still whenever its being discussed..it becomes a favorite topic to gossip..be it the staff room or the class.

Next session,Nirmalesh mam..quits teaching the class..and the school authorities chill down...

What happened to the culprit?
If he was rusticated this blog may never have been written !
Do you realise why?
I just thought you were smart enough...

A Little Story

It was a cold winter's night. As the crecent moon softly snored away on a cloudy pillow in the sky, the Dew Drops tumbled from the stars and settled all over our garden. They settled on our roof, on the verandah, on the graveled driveway, on the red rocking chair I had forgotten in our lawn, on the blades of the green grass. One of them nestled too in the leaves of The Sunflower, who until now was dozing with her beautiful head fallen on her chest.

The naughty Dew who had fallen amongst the leaves of The Sunflower was known to never spare her chance of mischief. Today, she woke The Sunflower with her happy chuckle as she jostled amongst folds of the leaves. The Sunflower stared at the fair thing in drowsy amazement.

"Hello! Who are you?" The a misty eyed pretty Sunflower asked, astonished. "Why? Don't you know silly, I am the Dew Drop." The Dew replied haughtily. The Sunflower was about to say something when her mouth remained open, midway and the Dew began to talk. " Ok Ok.. I know I know, what you will ask me now. Why have I fallen from the stars today? Ah! some people are so stuuupid!... fine, let me tell you, I have slided all the way down the rainbow, from the stars, to here, to meet Sunshine. With morning, when The Sun will appear beyond the mountains, I will welcome Sunshine and glow to all my beauty in his loving arms. You have been standing here since ages, good-for-nothing, but I shall surely charm him. You shall see, I shall surely charm him."

The Sunflower listened intently but said nothing. At the end of this high spirited proud speech, She simply nodded her head in pity and smiled serenely at the Dew Drop. The Dew Drop was hurt. She thought " She thinks she is smart. Once I impress Sunshine I will take him with me, way up the rainbow, back to the stars. Then she can smile to her hearts content. Duh!" and she turned her sweet head away in innocent arrogance.

The night moved on. The Moon, snuggled warmly the silver clouds, floated past our great chimney and disappeared behind the little lake.
The sky in the East cracked into purple. As The Sun glided through, the purple changed into a dash of Orange. Sunshine caressed the tree tops. He bestowed his warm glow to the roof, to the verandah, to the driveway. To the red rocking chair in the lawn, to the green grass.

He kissed his golden greetings to The Sunflower as she rose her lowered head to him and gently opened her sleep laden eyes.

The Dew too sparkled brightly as Sunshine beamed passed her, but soon she was nowhere to be seen. Nobody knows, where The Dew had vanished. They can only guess, why she was gone.

Nobody knows, what destiny has in store for her. She however, will return in her desire. By the night She will fall from the stars again, with hope that her dream will come true one fine day. Never did she learn to give up. Never disheartened as she will ever be.

Slowly, the Garden came chirping to life. The big guava tree shed some withered leaves. The holihocks danced in the breeze. The bees buzzed busily as our tabby kitten sat purring at them longingly, from beneath.
Sunshine showered generously, his mighty affections, over The Sunflower and together they basked in their blissful union.
